A firm founded in September 2000 by Jean Joseph Exumé. Graduated in legal sciences in 1980, Me. Jean Joseph Exumé began his career at the “Cabinet VILLEJOINT”, one of the best law firms in Port-au-Prince at the time, where he was a senior attorney. After the death of Me. André Villejoint, his mentor, Me. Jean Joseph Exumé opened his own law firm and has continued to offer legal services through a dynamic and experienced team for more than a decade

From his multiple professional experiences, Mr. Exumé has been a professor at the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences in Port-au-Prince since 1992. In addition, he served two terms as Minister of Justice and Public Security: from January 1995 to November 1995 and from October 2008 to November 2009. He played a key role in the creation of the Haitian National Police (PNH) and can be credited with the opening of the School of Magistracy (EMA). As a member of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights of the OAS (IACHR) from January 1996 to December 1999, he was able to make a valuable contribution to the doctrine and jurisprudence of this important international organization

With a dozen lawyers attached to the bars of several jurisdictions of the Republic and its administrative staff, the firm has built its reputation and notoriety in the fields of civil and business law. In order to cover all 27,700 km2 of the Haitian territory, the firm undertakes partnerships with the various bars of the 18 jurisdictions of the country. It also works with foreign lawyers in order to synthesize the legislation of each country as well as international conventions and agreements for a better compliance of commercial acts that companies will have to undertake during their accounting periods, especially those with subsidiaries in several countries
